The objective of this project is to assist the young adults in Kg Pengkalan Gelap to increase their earning as well as to promote aquaculture and business knowledge. Similarly, to help the fishermen to develop their existing crab business and increase their profit margins.

The young adults of Kg Rhu Tapai are involved in this year's project. The reason in having a low income is due to inadequate skills and lack of knowledge. This project was designed to empower the young adults and also the fishermen on how to breed and harvest the crabs and manage their own business.

The students assist the community by strengthening the relationship between young adults and the elder people. It created a good opportunity for the young adults to build connection with the business people. Environmental factor is well taken care off by just using the waste of marine resources (trash fish) as the crabs' food.

Since the community don't have big capital and merely to tackle it they applied simple and affordable system to breed and harvest the crab.

The community was empowered by inspiring the young adults to start their own business in Aqua industry through the application of business knowledge and skills. Enactus UMT was able to increase their lifestyle by broadening their working portfolio and not limited just on fishing.

Impact

This project impacted 3 young adults and one fisherman directly and 261 people indirectly. 480 crab harvest monthly which gives a good earning of RM 300 for the young adults and RM 500 to the fisherman.
