Chartis Malaysia Competition on Risk Management 2012
The competition was a collaborative effort between SIFE Malaysia and Charties Malaysia for year 2012. This competition was for the SIFE teams to address on projects related to property and fire related risks management among the community in Malaysia.
The competition involved 8 competing universities as follows:
- Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) - 2 teams A & B
- Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)
- Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
- Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK)
- Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM)
- Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)
- Kuala Lumpur Metropoliton University (KLMU)
- University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC)
The competitions was divided into two rounds: an opening round and a final round and all the judges involved were from Chartis Malaysia. The results of the Chartis Malaysia Competition on Risk Management 2012 and the awards given are as follows:
First Place:
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 4,000 cash]
Second Place:
Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) B
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 2,500 cash]
Third Place:
Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 500 cash]
Fourth Place:
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM)
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 500 cash]
Fifth Place:
Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) A
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 500 cash]
Sixth Place:
Universiti of Nottingham Malaysia Campus
[Certificate, Trophy & RM 500 cash]
In addition, they also introduced the Most Innovative Initiative Award and the cash award of RM 2,000 was given to Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka.
Mr Matt Harris, the CEO of Chartis Malaysia, Datin Norela Nuruddin, the Country Director of SIFE Malaysia and Ms Tarana Ramchand, a representative from Taylor's University and several top management of Chartis and staff of SIFE Malaysia were present at the event.
