From the Desk of Royal Patron

I would like to welcome you to Enactus Malaysia Foundation's Annual National Exposition (EMNE 2013). This is the first National Exposition after the launch of the Enactus name, and my first as the new Patron of the Foundation, so I am very excited about what we have in store over the coming days.
EMNE 2013 will witness 28 competiting teams froms 26 universities nationwide, including 5 universities participating for the first time - the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Universiti Tenaga Nasional Putrajaya Campus, Universiti Kuala Lumpur - MIAT, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM). The judges - and I am very honoured to be one of them - come from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds, including startup entrepreneurs, corporate leaders from various sectors such as banking, accounting, computer software, broadcast media, transportation, program development, non-profit organisations and also a philantropist. In addition to being judges, I hope that they will also serve as role models and mentors to the students in this year's competition, and continue to be involved in some way beyond this event.
I personally agreed to be a part of Enactus when I heard about its noble goal of working with youth to achieve social objectives through the engine of business, focusing on impact. Since then, I have continued to be impressed by the quality of the team members and the commitment they have shown. I hope that beyond their time in university, Enactus students will continue to be involved in working towards positive social impact in their communities and become the leading social entrepreneurs and corporate leaders of tomorrow.
I would like to thank all our partner and supporter - the Ministry of Education, Khazanah Nasional, Maybank, TalentCorp, KPMG, Media Prima, Westports Malaysia, Microsoft, Graduan, Perbadanan Nasional and our very first EMF Social Entrepreneurship Philantropist, Dato' Resham Singh for their continued support and belief in Enactus' strategic objectives. I would also like to congratulate the Board of Trustees chaired by YM Tengku Dato' Zafrul Aziz, and the CEO of Enactus Malaysia Foundation YBhg. Datin Norela Nuruddin and her talented team together with the EMNE 2013 Organising Committee of Enactus students for their wonderful work in ensuring the success of this event.
With best wishes,
Y.A.M. Tunku Besar Seri Menanti
Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku Muhriz
