Microsoft Academy of College Hires (MACH) Program
In 2011, Microsoft Asia Pacific approached Enactus Malaysia for assistance in the recruitment of candidates for the Microsoft Academy of College Hires (MACH). MACH is 2-3 months experience for full-time students currently in an undergraduate or post-graduate course in any disciple. All program participants will work on significant projects in Singapore during their summer internship to acquire concrete work experiences.
MACH participants are hired based on potential and provided with a comprehensive on-boarding curriculum, enabling them to accelerate their careers and become part of the next generation of key contributors and leaders. Microsoft will be investing in their career development, provide guidance and support to enable them to excel in their Microsoft career.
2011 was the first year the MACH program accepted Enactus students whereby from 40 applicants to fill 4 intern vacancies, 2 students from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Zeffree Kan Zainal Kan and from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sharifah Salmah Al-Shatri respectfully were selected to complete their internship with Microsoft. In 2012, 6 were offered and 2 successful Enactus students were chosen among the 60 applicants. They were Casandra Seng May Nyan from Universiti Malaysia Sabah dan Nadzrina Ahmad Nadzri from Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
2013 watched the growth of Enactus students joining the MACH internship program.
With over 80 candidates from Malaysia alone to fill 6 internship vacancies, 4 of those spots were filled by Enactus Malaysia students. These students will start their internship in June 2013.
