From the Desk of The Chairman

It is a privilege to express my thoughts in this second edition of the Enactus Malaysia Foundation magazine.
Enactus Malaysia Foundation has been a long standing stage for students, or best referred to as young leaders, to embark on entrepreneurial journeys torwards the betterment to the community.
Formerly known as SIFE Malaysia, the unveiling of the Enactus brand took place in Washington DC on September 30, 2012. With the dedication and commitment of students and partnering organisations, to date, we have clocked in 296,849 volunteer hours, 98 community projects with 99,515 people directly benefiting from 1,963 active Enactus Malaysia members nationwide.
The new rebranding excercise reflects our purpose and values in using the power of entrepreneurial action to enable progress around the world and to expand our reach and influence so we can impact more lives through creative perspectives. These ideas for socio-economic community projects by our young leaders are put into motion, creating lasting and meaningful change.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome and express my appreciation to Y.A.M. Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddun Ibni Tuanku Muhriz and also YBhg Dato' Amrin Awaluddin & Mr Ruben Emir Gnanalingam, for graciously agreeing to come onboard as our Royal Patron and members of our Board of Trustees, respectively. Also to our corporate sponsors and supporters : Ministry of Education, Khazanah Nasional Berhard, Maybank, TalentCorp Malaysia, KPMG in Malaysia, Microsoft, Westport Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Media Prima Berhard & Graduan and our first EMF Social Entrepreneurship Philanthropist - Y Bhg Dato' Resham Singh.
Lastly, I would like to convey my best wishes to all teams competing in the Enactus Malaysia National Exposition (EMNE) 2013. And to the National Champian who will represent Malaysia at the Enactus World Cup in Cancun, Mexico...make us proud!
